Our Services

We developed the System Calibration Framework ™ a flexible, data and practice-based model for building readiness to drive specific and strategic mission-relevant system reforms, that are less costly and more effective for achieving measurable outcomes than typical “system change” models that can be overly broad, costly, inefficient, and impractical.

Identifying Problems and Mapping Assets

Our team uses a creative and collaborative data-driven, human-centered  model to help agencies and communities re-assess their current situation, identify strengths and challenges for addressing problem issues, and determine the needed resources , readiness, and  evidence-based strategies to effect lasting change. A critical aspect of this work is involving end users and those impacted by the problem from the beginning.

Matching Problems with Solutions

There is no one size fits all solution that is right for every community and context. The most effective and sustainable solutions are calibrated to the scope and nature of the problem, the assets and resources available, and the readiness to implement the solution well. Our team can provide an extensive review of the research literature on what works, alongside a readiness assessment of what is feasible and meaningful in the context of each situation, before communities and agencies adopt expensive and time consuming measures that may have little chance of success.

Building Readiness to Take Action

Effective solutions don't implement themselves. Organizations and communities need sufficient capacity and motivation to take on vexing problems with innovative solutions that may require people to move out of their comfort zone, adopt new ways of working, or challenge the established way of doing things. Our team can assess where readiness is strong and where gaps must be filled in order to increase the odds that new solutions will be adopted and implemented with success.

Learning Through Experience and Evidence

Problems will always exist, but the people, places, and contexts we live in are dynamic and constantly in flux. In order to stay ahead of the problem curve and prevent  knee-jerk reactions, it is important to build a learning and continuous improvement process into the routine way that programs, practices, and policies are implemented. Our team can provide coaching and strategies for nurturing a culture of learning that inspires confidence, builds teamwork, and  improves service delivery and client outcomes. When appropriate and feasible, our team can also design and carry out evaluations of project implementation quality and impact, including assessing the economic return on investment.
